PROJECT ADOPTION

Project Casa de la Esperanza (House of Hope) center Funding Amount $5000

Project Defined Take a journey through the streets of Latin America. Learn about the lives of our children who are suffering from poverty and sexual exploitation. See life through their tear filled eyes. Take a moment to walk in their shoes. Witness miracles in the making as you see a light shining from the distance. Let the light guide you to the Casa de la Esperanza center. Walk through it's doors to behold a place of hope, created by the hands of God. Meet those who work in our centers providing daily meals to relieve the hunger pains of a child. A place for street children to call home. Giving them the opportunity to experience a stable family atmosphere. Before your very eyes you will witness pain transformed into peace, and the chains of drug addiction broken through our one on one and group counseling programs. Along with healing their inner wounds our on-site nurse meets their physical needs in our medical clinic. Walk into our class rooms and behold children being educated. Preparing our future leaders for the responsibility of bringing social and economical change within their communities. In these class rooms you will see children and families receiving education, and computer training. Taking them to the next steps of vocational training. Providing them with the tools to fulfill their destiny. Travel with our street teams as they reach out to additional children in the streets, and visit local families. Transforming communities into havens of hope. The arms the Casa de la Esperanza center reaches beyond it's four walls. Through street teams, special events, educational magazine publications, 24 hour 1-800 help lines, and outreach centers we embrace those living in desperate situations throughout our communities. Developing stable family structures, and transforming communities into havens of hope. Opening the doors for love to flood through the streets like a mighty river. Consuming everyone and everything in it's path. Washing away the stains of the past. Pouring hope into the lives of many. The Esperanza Movimiento Foundation is passionate about our mission to help these children off the streets, and giving them a hope for a brighter future. Bringing social change into cities and villages, stabilizing the family structure, Each of our centers will provide services to a estimated 500 street children monthly, housing over 40+ boys and 40+ girls, reconnecting hundreds of street children with their families, and reaching out to hundreds of families. We will advocate with and on behalf of youth to raise awareness in the community about their suffering. Opening people’s eyes and changing laws that in the past have forgotten about these children living on the streets. We will not weaken our fight against poverty, abuse, and the child sex trade industry.

Project Needs This an urgent request for your financial support for our Rehabilitation/ Educational centers in Escuintla, Guatemala and Moravia, Costa Rica. Saving the lives of thousands of children, developing communities, and giving them hope for the future. Half the world's street children are in Latin America alone. In the areas where we are working there are over 5,000 children living on the streets, and over 200,000 orphans. Many are being kidnapped and forced into the sex trade industry as young as 6 years old. This effects not only Latin Americans, but also those living in the United States. The U.S. government estimates that over 50,000 women and children are trafficked into the country for the purpose of slavery. (Mostly prostitution). They need your help. The innocence of children are being sold, and time is of the essence.
